Mr. Eric Mausser

Mr. Eric Mausser is in his third year as Principal at the Middle/High School. Previously. Mr. Mausser spent three years as Assistant Principal & the coordinator of the Mercer Area Virtual Academy.  Prior to joining the district, Mr. Mausser spent eleven years teaching fifth grade at Franklin Regional School District and serving as a member of the building management team at Heritage Elementary for five years.  Mr. Mausser was the wrestling coordinator at Franklin Regional for nine years and also coached Middle School football for five seasons.  He earned his Bachelors in Elementary Education from Clarion University in 2003 and his Masters of Education in K-12 Administration from Duquesne University in 2005. 

2021-2022 Goals

    • Work with faculty members in all subject/content areas to develop the processes and tools (both formal & informal) that will be utilized to shape instruction in an effort to maximize student achievement & the application of information, focusing specifically on closing any learning gaps associated with school closure during the spring of 2020.  Teachers will share daily learning targets with students to allow both parties to focus on daily goals and encourage the development of self-efficacy.
    • Work with the middle-high school teachers and students to implement the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program to reduce existing bullying problems among students, to prevent the development of new bullying problems, and to achieve better peer relations at school.
    • Increase collaboration between faculty members, students, and administration through meetings, discussions, and other opportunities to incorporate educators and students in the decision making process at Mercer Area Middle-High School.
