  • HOST FAMILIES NEEDED FOR FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Posted by Michael G. Piddington on 11/28/2018 7:05:00 AM

Members of the Mercer Community can take advantage of the opportunity to host exchange students through the American Scholar Group in Greenville during the 2019-2020 school year at the Middle-High School.

Families within the community are needed to host students that would be traveling to the United States from Korea. The students would arrive in the beginning of August and would remain with the family until the end of the school year in May/June. This homestay experience will allow these students to connect with a host family and take advantage of the wonderful opportunities that are available within the middle-high school & the entire Mercer community.

A stipend of $600.00 per month would be provided to each family to assist with any expenses associated with hosting a student.

If you are interested in pursuing this opportunity please contact Mr. Michael Piddington, Middle-High School Principal, via email (mpiddington@mercer.k12.pa.us). Families that express interest would have their contact information submitted to the American Scholar Group for a formal background check & screening process.

Please feel free to contact Mr. Piddington in the middle-high school office (724-662-5104) or via email (mpiddington@mercer.k12.pa.us) if you have any questions or if you need any additional information associated with this endeavor.
