Welcome to sixth grade - room 604.  My name is Meredith Safran and I will be your homeroom, English, and Math teacher. I will also teach Social Studies to Cassano and Rice classrooms.  I am going into my 23rd  year of teaching, 16 of those years here at Mercer Elementary.  My previous years of teaching were at Haine Middle School in the Seneca Valley School District.  I am a Mercer graduate and have loved staying in the Mercer area with my family.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Slippery Rock University and my Master of Education degree from Westminster College. I am married and have a daughter Maya and crazy dog Bourbon.  I enjoy warm weather, boating/water sports, spending a lot of time outside, and being with my family and friends. I look forward to working with you and your family and wish you all the best in 6th grade.
